I have been fascinated by the idea of passive income for the last couple of years.

I have tried different methods, and out of them all, I have made money using 4 of the methods. Today in this blog post, I will share with you the methods that have worked for me.

Digital Products

I have sold digital products mainly on Creative Fabrica and GumRoad.

Creative Fabrica is a website where you can sell graphics, fonts, templates, and other digital products. I have made around $10 by publishing around 3 simple KDP templates on the website. By publishing more designs, I could have further multiplied the income.

I also shared the templates on Gumroad. There were a total of 187 downloads, which made me $14.13.

You can see the sales are much higher, but the revenue is comparatively low. It’s because I have listed some products for free.

Seeing my results, selling digital products might not seem lucrative enough to make passive income online. But before you decide, you must realize that I have only uploaded a few designs. You can turn this into a considerable income by consistently researching what sells and uploading many digital products.

Amazon KDP (Kindle Direct Publishing)

Amazon allows you to publish your book and sell it on their website.

But many of us don’t have the skills to write a full-fledged book. Don’t worry.

You can also publish Low-Content books on Amazon KDP.

Low-content books include gratitude journals, coloring books, puzzle books, and other similar books that don’t require you to do a lot of the writing. If you want to learn more about making passive income via this method, I have written a separate blog post on this topic.

Creating Youtube Videos

My YouTube channel earned a decent income from ad revenue despite its small size.

For some personal reason, I left uploading videos on this channel. (I have a new channel) But, long after uploading my last video, the channel earned revenue from the past videos.

I have made around $1000 from Ad revenue from this channel.

But now, I have realized that depending solely on ad revenue is not a great idea for making money on YouTube. YouTube opens up a lot of different opportunities for other Passive Income Streams. You can sell digital products, create sponsored videos, sell merch, and do affiliate marketing from your YouTube channel.

Affiliate Marketing

Affiliate Marketing is the method of making money as a commission by selling other people’s products. These products can be physical or digital.

When I used to run my old YouTube channel, I posted an affiliate link for a website (Creative Fabrica) that I used to create the books on some of my video descriptions.

I earned about $100 as an affiliate earning. The website is based on the subscription model, so every month, when someone who subscribed to the website from my link renewed their subscription, I would get a 20% commission.

The best way to do affiliate marketing is to create a blog or a YouTube channel. After you gain some traffic, you can promote relevant products to your customers.

Conclusion

I have tried These passive income streams and seen some results. However, my main focus has been on KDP publishing. That is the main reason why I haven’t worked significantly on other platforms.

You can see significant income from any of the methods above if you do it consistently.

Remember, consistency is the key.
